McDonnell Statement on Resignation of United States Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty
Richmond - Attorney General Bob McDonnell issued the following statement this morning regarding the announced resignation of U.S. Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty:
“Paul McNulty is a dedicated, career public servant. As United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, he served the citizens of Virginia with professionalism and character. Working with the Virginia Attorney General’s Office he played a key role in our efforts to combat Internet crimes against children, as well as online financial crimes. He was also instrumental in supporting our fight against criminal street gangs. Prior to his time as a United States Attorney, Paul was an architect of the successful abolition of parole in Virginia in the early 1990’s. The citizens of Virginia will continue to benefit from his leadership and service.”
